Trinity Lutheran Church

Cottage Grove, Oregon

Notes from Pastor Jim

Dear Trinity Family,

I attended another great Pastors' Conference this week in Cannon Beach at the Christian Conference Center. They always do a great job in hosting us. I was especially blessed in being able to commute with Pastor Joe from Grace Eugene. They will be celebrating their 102nd Anniversary on Nov 6th. (Their 100th was postponed due to COVID.) The mission start in Cottage Grove was served by some of their pastors.

I look forward to leading you in worship this Sunday. Again, we will have some challenging words of Jesus to consider.

Luke 17: 1And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! 2It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. 3Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, 4and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

Below is all the normal on-line information.

The Sunday morning Bible class continues studying the book of Psalms from 9:15 -10:15 a.m. Since the class is using the same meeting number as our worship service, those attending worship on-line, and not the class, are asked NOT to join the zoom service until 10:15 a.m. But we welcome new students to the class at 9:15 a.m.

Here is the zoom link for the class and the worship service.
